Roller Compacted Concrete (RCC) is mainly used for building storage dams or infrastructures (roads and roadbeds).
As the final mixture is generally quite dry, RCC requires accurate monitoring of the quality of the mixture (plasticity, additives, metering of components, etc.). The plants are thus adapted to meet these requirements.
In addition, continuous high-output operation with little production stoppage time may be required. In this case, a double plant or a plant with two mixers may be used.
The main criteria are the grading curve, plasticity, production consistency, additives and mechanical strength.
